Social Media Is a Conversation. Interest Media Is a Tool. Know Which One You’re Building.

Social media isn’t social unless you are social and focussing on creating a dialogue that goes back-and-forth between your viewers and consumers.
Interest media is you creating content that’s of interest with the focus of being shared or giving some type of educational component which people use to either better themselves or just learn about a topic or thing.
The problem is that social media requires you to live on a platform and really engage through comments and DM’s and really give it a living presence. Think of it like going to a party and how you would act in a room full of people and what you would say. This is a critical question to ask yourself...do you really want to have a conversation with someone? Or, a lot of someones!
Interest media, on the other hand, allows you to focus on creating content that’s of value with a higher chance of a CTA that will convert because it’s about giving somebody a tool and them wanting more. Think of it more ike attending a talk or a lecture. Your audiences sits, observes, absorbs and decides their response after the experience.
Ask yourself, what content does my consumer need me to make to entice a purchasing decision?
So, zoom out and really figure out what your goal is and remember everyone is competing for your attention first, and then your dollars.
Morning thoughts, my own words, lots of spelling mistakes and authentically me!
